Mateship

I may be old fashioned, but i still hold on to some old morals and traditions from the past era. One of these morals is mateship. It is different to friendship, mateship is friendship and loyalty between guys. Now i used to have the utmost loyalty to ALL my friends even the controversial ones. I can usually forgive people for ALOT of things, but I cannot forgive people for breaking the bonds of mateship. I understand that nothing makes a guy more determined on something than a little competition. But there is a time just to 'step down' when it comes to your mates.
