Man was never meant to be this fucked. Some wires have gone wrong somewhere and the effect is just never fading off!!! If there was a planet fucked and it got fucked on by a bigger fucked planet... I would still be more fucked than that.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

Many people aren't optomistic enough these days, maybe its because there isn't as much to be optomistic about these days. I believe in almost any situation a positive light can be shed onto it. And maybe it is human nature but people dwell on negative situations longer than they hold a positive feeling for.

I am a very optomistic and postive person. Even in the worst situations I can find humour or a positive side.

It has actually been proven that optomistic people outlive and are healthier in general than pessimistic people. It's sort of obvious though (this is not a random 82.422% of on the spot facts).

Life

Recently, I beleive I have gotten a better grip on this whole... life thing. I have had my what I thought were really high points in my life which were during my relationships, I have had my really down periods in life where I have felt like I didn't fit in anywhere apart from with a group of other social misfits who resort to drugs to somehow make life seem like its worth living. But after my recent trip to Europe, I think I understand things a little clearer now.

Life is there to be lived, and there are certain stages of your life that shouldn't be wasted. For instance, dont spend your early 20's stuck at home with no money because your paying off a morgage. Woopdee doo when you're 40 you'll own your own home, and you'd have made 1000's of dollars profit so you can buy a nicer home. But life isn't always about money, its about experiences, like my quote. If I had the choice of experiencing either traveling around Europe for some of the best two months of my life, meeting great people, making lifetime friends, seeing different cultures and amazing new cities... or scraping along on the bones of my arse just so I can own a heap of bricks in 20 years, I know which one i would choose.

Don't waste life, live everyday to it's fullest. Which is much different than saying live everyday like its your last. You need common sense to allow you to make the most of life without sacrificing happiness or quality of life down the track. I believe that life can be enjoyed up to any age.

There are a few basic rules that will help if not ensure living a happy, fulfilled life.
1. You must be optomistic
2. You must have morals
3. You must be kind, patient and forgiving

I believe if a person can be at least all those things, they will lead a fruitful and meaningful life.

Update almost 12 months later

Wow, its been almost a year since my last post. Right, back to it I guess. I have in fact, learnt much in the last year, but with regards to what I have previously written, I stand by my comments... mostly.

Mateship

I may be old fashioned, but i still hold on to some old morals and traditions from the past era. One of these morals is mateship. It is different to friendship, mateship is friendship and loyalty between guys. Now i used to have the utmost loyalty to ALL my friends even the controversial ones. I can usually forgive people for ALOT of things, but I cannot forgive people for breaking the bonds of mateship. I understand that nothing makes a guy more determined on something than a little competition. But there is a time just to 'step down' when it comes to your mates. Something one of my friends knows little, if anything, about.

The friendship may stay, but the mateship... is gone.

Women and Emotions

Emotions. Ha, everyone has them. But some people are dominated by their emotions rather than by common sense. Women are usually more prone to do this than men. Chicks basically run their lives on emotion rather than common sense. I would like to as this stage clear up there is difference between 'following your heart' and following you emotions. Following your heart usually means doing something involving love and compassion. Following your emotions can be jealously, rage, hate, anxiety etc... Say your girlfriend had a loose friend that told her you had slept with another chick. Your girlfriend could do a variety of crazy things like cheat on you as revenge, trash your house, tell the whole world what has happened.
You see with a guy, we would be more likely to wait until we could get in touch with our girlfriend confront her and go "what the fuck?". A guy would be more likely to find out the truth before acting on impulse and emotion.

Unfortunately with both women and men we all find it hard to strike a perfect balance between emotion and common sense. All I ask is to consult with both the little angel and devil dudes on your shoulders before you act on anything.

women and trust

Previously I mentioned about giving your love, respect and trust.
Trust. A funny word. I suppose it means believing a person's word in absolute. Now the silly thing is, people often change their word or the way they think. So does that mean if you change the way you think or act to a person accordingly do you still trust them?
What I am getting at here, is the female phyci can and WILL be totally random at times. You can think you know a woman totally and one day 'click' something will happen in her brain with all those crazy chemicals and hormones and she will do something completely out of character. What I am saying here is that even though you can love with all your heart... you should never 100% trust a chick. Maybe trust 99% but always be aware that she may someday do something REALLY REALLY stupid. This stupid behaviour in women is often causes by emotion.

With regards to women, men can be divided into three catagories.
1. The bastards who treat women like shit
2. The guys who treat their women with respect and love
3. The guys who dont know much about women usually because they have never dated many

Catagory 1 guys should beaten around a bit to teach them a lesson, if they dont learn, then they should be shot.
Catagory 3 guys dont relate to this issue because... well they just dont have much experience with women.
Now if you are unlucky enough to be a catagory 2 guy such as myself, you have to watch out. You see if is common knowledge that there are ALOT of mean bastard guys out there. But it is less known that there are JUST AS MANY mean bitches out there. The knowledge is not as well known because men dont like to show weakness so when they get fucked on by a chick they tend to deal with it by themselves instead of telling the rest of the world about it.

Right, now Cat 2 guys usually will give their love to a chick with almost no regard for themselves. And just as often as guys cheat/beat/disrespect women, alot of these women will fuck you off in a second and break your heart. The lesson that is to be learnt here, is treat your women with respect, love and trust. But even though as hard as it may seem, do not get attached to her. This is hard and may seem almost impossible but if you can handle being dumped over nothing for no reason without going crazy... then you're on the right track.

Now this theory really only applies to guys who give their heart and soul to women. There are catagory 2 guys who are loving and caring but will not give 100% of their heart and soul to their woman because of attachment issues or ex issues or they might just be dicks.

My first post.
Arvid a dickwad. He is always late. One thing that is just a simple fact of life is that you should ALWAYS BE ON TIME. No matter what the occasion. Unless of course you are TRYING to be fashionably late. But other than that, 98% of people have no EXCUSES for being late apart from... THEY ARE JUST A DICKWAD who didnt get ready in time. It is rude to be late, and that is not a good trait in a person's personality. Your a nugget arvid. But we always knew that :)

End of first blogg post ever.

Intro

Right, well 5 years ago I used to preach about all sorts of things I think I know and my mates should write a book. Well 3 years ago I decided on a title for my book.
"Everyone is a moron except me" which is an a slight adjustment on Homer's wisdom in which he quoted "Everyone is stoopid except me". And I have planned my sequel to my first book which will be titles "Will there ever be a rainbow".

Right we come to the present day. I still preach about things I think I know about and I still haven't written a book. Hence we arrive at today. But that is all about to change. I am going to write my thoughts here and one day compile it all into a book which will become a best seller :)
